Major Changes for Credit Card Users Coming into Effect Tomorrow

If you have a credit card of ICICI Bank, then this news is very important for you. From tomorrow, i.e. 15 November, many rules related to the credit card of this bank are going to change, which will directly affect you. These new rules include airport lounge access, utility transactions and reward points etc.

New limit on airport lounge access
ICICI Bank has set a limit on airport lounge access for credit card holders. Now you have to spend Rs 75,000 in a quarter, while earlier this limit was Rs 35,000.

Changes in Fuel Surcharge Waiver
ICICI, the second largest private sector bank, has also changed the fuel surcharge waiver rules. Now fuel surcharge will be free on transactions up to Rs 50,000 every month. Whereas, for the exclusive Emerald MasterCard Metal Credit Card, this limit will be Rs 1 lakh per month.

New rules for utility and insurance payments
Premium credit cards (Rubix, Sapphiro, Emerald) will continue to earn reward points on monthly spends and insurance payments of up to Rs 80,000. For other cards, this limit will be Rs 40,000.

New fees for supplementary card
Supplementary card holders will now be charged an annual fee of Rs 199. Apart from this, a charge of 1% will also be levied on utility transactions through third-party payment platforms. Along with this, the bank has also discontinued the spa facility offered through Dreamfolks card.
