Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, October 27, 2025 :Under the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Harmandeep Singh Hans, SAS Nagar district, continuous action is being taken to bring absconding criminals (P.O.s) to justice as part of the ongoing campaign against anti-social elements and offenders. For this purpose, a dedicated P.O. (Proclaimed Offender) staff has been formed and assigned the task of apprehending fugitives.
As part of this campaign, under the guidance and supervision of Shri Saurabh Jindal, Superintendent of Police (Investigation), and Shri Navinpal Singh Lahal, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Special Crime), SAS Nagar district, a police team led by P.O. Staff Incharge Sub-Inspector Balwinder Singh successfully arrested absconding accused Narinderjit Singh alias Nindi, a resident of village Daun Khurd, district Patiala.
The accused was wanted in Case No. 25/2022 registered under Sections 18/61/85 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Handesra, Mohali, in which 200 grams of opium had been recovered from him.
