New Revenue, Transport Services Rolled Out at Sewa Kendras

Bathinda, 17 June 2025 : Deputy Commissioner Mr. Shaukat Ahmad Pare shared that the Punjab Government’s Department of e-Governance has launched six new services of the Revenue Department and 29 services of the Transport Department at Sewa Kendras. With this, the Punjab Government is rapidly expanding the range of services provided through Sewa Kendras as part of its ongoing efforts to improve e-governance.

Providing details about the new services of the Revenue Department, the Deputy Commissioner stated that:

  • Now, Digital Fard (land record document) can be obtained from the Sewa Kendra, and it will also be sent to the applicant’s WhatsApp number.
  • The second service allows submission of applications for inheritance (virasati) mutation through the Sewa Kendra.
  • The third service enables applications for mutation based on registered will/deed.
  • The fourth service allows for Fard Badar (correction in land records).
  • The fifth service allows submission of Rapat (report) entries, which are needed for loans and court cases.
  • The sixth service is a new subscription service where the applicant can register their land account to receive alerts via WhatsApp and email if any transaction is done on their land record, helping keep it secure and monitored remotely.

Further details were provided by District Technical Coordinator Mr. Mukesh and District Manager Mr. Rajvir. They mentioned that efforts are being made continuously to provide better services to the public. Citizens can now call 1076 to avail these services from the comfort of their homes. After scheduling a time, services will be provided at home for an extra fee of just ₹50.

They also informed that the district has a total of 34 Sewa Kendras, including:

  • 1 district-level center,
  • 22 Type-1 and Type-2 centers,
  • 11 Type-3 centers.

At these Sewa Kendras, the public can avail a wide range of government services conveniently.

Summary:
Punjab’s Sewa Kendras now offer expanded Revenue and Transport Department services, streamlining access to driving licenses, registrations, and certificates for citizens.
