Tarn Taran, 25 July 2025 : With the aim of providing quality healthcare services to people near their homes, the Punjab Government has so far dedicated 30 Aam Aadmi Clinics to the public in the Tarn Taran district. These clinics offer free lab tests and quality healthcare services to the residents.
Providing this information, Deputy Commissioner of Tarn Taran, Mr. Rahul IAS, stated that from January 2025 to 24 July 2025, over 12 lakh 74 thousand people have benefited from the healthcare services at Aam Aadmi Clinics in Tarn Taran, and more than 1 lakh 65 thousand free blood tests have been conducted.
He further shared that the 30 Aam Aadmi Clinics operating in the district are serving both urban and rural populations with accessible, high-quality healthcare services near their homes. Approximately 80 types of medicines and 38 types of lab tests are provided free of cost at these clinics. In addition, check-ups for pregnant women and young children are now also being done free of charge.
The Deputy Commissioner said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the supervision of Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, these clinics are proving to be highly beneficial for the public. He mentioned that the clinics are staffed with medical officers, clinic assistants, and pharmacists providing services. He called the dedication of these clinics to the residents of the district a major step toward raising the standard of healthcare.
On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurpreet Singh Rai and Nodal Officer Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Rupam Chaudhary stated that all basic healthcare services are available at these clinics. They added that the general public is taking full advantage of other health services provided by the Punjab Government. Additionally, for public safety, some Aam Aadmi Clinics have been equipped with CCTV cameras.
