Pro-Akali Dal Leadership Adopts 7 Resolutions for Panthic Enlightenment

Chandigarh 11 march 2025 : The pro-Akali Dal leadership held an important meeting in Chandigarh today. In this meeting, seven resolutions were passed for Panthic enlightenment and the progress of Akali Dal.

Resolution 1:
A resolution was passed condemning the major violation committed by the SGPC officials and employees at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib today, particularly regarding the breach of Sikh traditions and code of conduct. This act has deeply hurt the sentiments of the Sikh community.

Resolution 2:
The gathering unanimously demanded that a proper legal framework be established for the appointment and removal of Jathedars. It was proposed that Jathedars should be appointed or relieved of their duties only after approval in a general session.

Resolution 3:
The gathering appealed to SGPC members to come forward and revoke both resolutions that removed Singh Sahib Giani Raghubir Singh Ji, Singh Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh Ji, and Singh Sahib Giani Sultan from the interim committee. This step is necessary to pacify the anger of the Sikh community.

Resolution 4
The contributions of Singh Sahib Giani Raghubir Singh Ji, Giani Harpreet Singh Ji, and Giani Sultan Singh Ji to the Panth were acknowledged and appreciated. Special praise was given for the Hukamnama issued on December 2.

Resolution 5
Sikh organizations, institutions, Baba Balbir Singh, Damdami Taksal, and all respected saints and spiritual leaders were urged to unite and mobilize efforts at a large scale to get these resolutions revoked.

Resolution 6
The seven-member recruitment committee, established by the Sri Akal Takht Sahib, had previously decided in an Ardas that recruitment would commence on March 18. All pro-Akali leaders and workers were requested to gather in large numbers in Amritsar at 11 AM for the recruitment event.

Resolution 7
Leaders who have already rejected the decision of the interim committee, and who have made their stance clear through press statements or social media, were specially thanked and appreciated in today’s gathering. An appeal was also made to the five-member recruitment committee. The leadership resolved to bring together all pro-Panthic leaders who opposed the interim committee’s decision onto a single platform for collective action.

In today’s gathering, various developments within the Sikh community were reviewed. Additionally, a commitment was made to step forward and address the widespread disappointment within the Panth and the Sikh community. Key figures present at the meeting included Sardar Surjit Singh Rakhra, Prem Singh Chandumajra, Bibi Jagir Kaur, Sardar Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Sardar Sucha Singh Chhotepur, and Sardar Charanjit Singh Brar. Several other prominent leaders also participated in the meeting.
