Nangal, 5 Aug 2025 : Influenced by the wave of development led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the pro-people and welfare-oriented schemes of the Punjab Government, a large number of public representatives, elected officials, and citizens committed to the inclusive development of Punjab are joining the Aam Aadmi Party.
This was stated recently by Punjab Cabinet Minister for Education and Information & Public Relations, Harjot Singh Bains, during a program in village Gohalni of his assembly constituency in Nangal. On this occasion, prominent individuals including Makhan Singh, Ashok Singh, Ranjit Chand, Roshan Lal, Birbal, Paras Ram Lakha, Sandeep Kumar, and Roshan Lal formally joined the Aam Aadmi Party.
The minister said that the people of Punjab have experienced the rule of traditional political parties, which handed over the rights of Punjabis to the Centre and other states just to stay in power. Now, the people of Punjab have given a strong public mandate to the Aam Aadmi Party and, impressed by the development and resolution of public issues, people from all sections are aligning themselves with the party.
He further added that under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann, the government is working without discrimination for the development of every region. Major steps have been taken to conserve water, provide canal water for irrigation, supply clean water for domestic use, ensure uninterrupted power to farmers and businesses, and offer 600 units of free electricity to domestic consumers. In addition, free quality healthcare, improved education facilities, and overall rural and urban development are being ensured.
The new members said they were impressed by Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, the Punjab Government’s policies, and Harjot Singh Bains’ humble and unbiased working style, which led them to join the Aam Aadmi Party.
Also present on the occasion were Dr. Sanjeev Gautam, Chairman of Guru Ravidas Ayurvedic University; Chairman Rakesh Kumar Mehalwa; Deepak Soni, Media Coordinator; Rohit Kalia, President of Truck Union; and a large number of AAP workers.
