Ludhiana, 14 May: To give a major boost to the overall development of Ludhiana, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today dedicated various development projects to the people, gifting Ludhiana residents projects worth ₹13 crore.
These projects reflect the state government’s strong commitment to transforming the face of Punjab, and there is no shortage of funds for these development works. Due to the continuous supervision by the Chief Minister himself, these projects have been completed on time to enhance public convenience and accelerate the pace of development in the city. These projects have been planned and implemented smoothly and seamlessly because providing world-class infrastructure to the city residents was a timely necessity.
To promote sports in the state by strengthening the sports infrastructure, the Chief Minister dedicated a state-of-the-art sports ground in Salem Tabri area with a total covered area of 5,187.50 square feet. This sports ground is equipped with modern sports infrastructure and can be used for games like cricket, basketball, handball, and badminton. The stadium is equipped with camera recording and floodlight facilities. Built at a cost of ₹26 lakh, this ground will help channel the energy of the youth in a positive direction.
Similarly, the Chief Minister also dedicated a newly constructed auditorium at Dr. Ambedkar Bhawan-cum-Training and Research Centre near Jalandhar Bypass Chowk. This state-of-the-art auditorium, built at a cost of ₹4.30 crore, will provide great facilities for city residents to hold their programs. The auditorium includes sliding chairs, air conditioning, sound system and soundproofing, motorized curtains, projector, screen, false ceiling, and many other advanced features.
During this time, giving great relief to commuters, the Chief Minister also dedicated a high-level bridge (72.40 meters) over Budha Nala near Chand Cinema in Ludhiana. Built at a cost of ₹8.16 crore, this bridge will play a key role in facilitating traffic in the industrial city and will provide the expected assistance to the people. This bridge will provide access to residents coming to the city from Jalandhar Bypass and other areas.
The sole objective of this initiative is to develop cities with major infrastructure and provide better facilities to citizens. On one hand, it reflects the state government’s commitment to providing basic amenities to every person in the state, and on the other hand, to develop Ludhiana as a major city of the state. These unique projects dedicated by the Chief Minister will lead the state, especially Ludhiana city, on the path of economic development, benefiting the city residents greatly.
