Barnala, 22 May 2025 : Making citizen-centric services more accessible to all citizens, the Punjab government has reduced the doorstep delivery fee from ₹120 to ₹50.
Deputy Commissioner Barnala, Mr. T. Banith, stated that under this initiative, residents of the state can avail of 406 services from home by calling the helpline number 1076. The purpose of reducing the delivery fee is to ensure that even financially weaker citizens can benefit from these services.
He explained that under the “Bhagwant Mann Government, At Your Doorstep” scheme, doorstep delivery services have been started to provide uninterrupted Government-to-Citizen (G2C) services from the government directly to citizens. This initiative offers important G2C services at citizens’ doorsteps, such as birth and death certificates, income, residence, caste, pension certificates, electricity bill payment, and other services. Citizens of the state can call the dedicated helpline number 1076 to schedule a pre-appointment according to their convenience and avail these services. At one time, a citizen can avail up to four services.
He further informed that citizens can avail various services including: birth/NAC certificate issuance, adding names in birth certificates, copies of death certificates, corrections in birth certificate entries, issuance of death/NAC certificates, multiple copies of birth certificates, delayed registration of birth certificates, delayed registration of death certificates, corrections in death certificates (health), income certificate, affidavit verification, property record inspection, certified copies of registered and unregistered documents, preparing affidavits, document countersigning, backward area certificates, beneficiary children scholarships, registration and renewal of construction workers and laborers, residence certificates, Scheduled Caste certificates, BC certificates, general caste certificates, other backward class (OBC) certificates, income and property certificates (EWS), Shagun scheme (case approval for social justice), pensions for senior citizens, widows/helpless citizens, disabled citizens, application for disability certificates and YDID cards, pensions for dependent children (social security), electricity bill payments, mandatory marriage registrations, marriage registration for celebrations, rural area certificates, and more.
