Punjab district enforces strict new restrictions — authorities warn residents against violations

Bathinda October 30, 2025  : Strict prohibitory orders have been issued in the district. District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman has issued these orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).

According to the order, within the boundaries of Bathinda district, there is a complete ban on the manufacture, sale, storage, purchase, supply, import, and use of kite strings made of nylon, plastic, or synthetic materials (commonly known as “Chinese manjha”).

These orders will remain in effect until December 9, 2025.
