Chandigarh, 29 April 2025 : The Punjab government is taking a tough stance on drug abuse in the state. As part of its efforts, the state government has decided to launch a ‘Nasha Mukti Yatra’ (Drug-Free Campaign). This campaign will be conducted in every village and ward of the state to spread awareness and eliminate drug abuse.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has called for a united fight against drugs. In this regard, meetings will be held in all districts from May 2 to May 4, and public gatherings will take place in every village and ward starting from May 7. The village sarpanches, police, and administration will collaborate to run this campaign. The Village Defense Committees will take the lead in urban areas for the initiative.
