Chandigarh 24 June 2025: In view of the paddy season, the Punjab government has taken a significant decision. To ensure a smooth procurement system at the beginning of paddy sowing, the Mann government has formed a committee of ministers.
This committee will be headed by Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian. The committee will also include Lal Chand Kataruchak, Barinder Goyal, and Laljit Singh Bhullar. This committee will coordinate with farmers, commission agents (arhtiyas), mill owners, and the FCI to ensure timely procurement of paddy. According to information, the committee will begin its work from today itself. The first meeting of the committee will be held today at 3 PM.
