October 23, 2025 : The Punjab government has appointed senior IPS officer Nanak Singh as the new DIG of the Ropar Range. Previously, the DIG of the Ropar Range was Harcharan Singh Bhullar, who was recently arrested by the CBI in a corruption case and has since been suspended by the government.
It is worth noting that IPS officer Nanak Singh was posted at the Border Range in Amritsar. Additionally, AIG Sandeep Goel of AGTF Ludhiana, a 2011-batch IPS officer, will handle the duties of DIG AGTF Punjab along with DIG Border Range Amritsar.
