Patiala 2 Sep 2025: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra from Sanaur constituency in Punjab’s Patiala district has been arrested by the police from Haryana. According to reports, the arrest has been made in connection with an old case under Section 376.
Significantly, the security of MLA Pathanmajra was withdrawn by the government just yesterday. It is being said that for the past three to four days, Pathanmajra had been making statements against his own government and had directly blamed Irrigation Department’s chief officer Krishna Kumar for the recent floods.
After the MLA’s arrest, political activity has intensified in the area. An official statement from the police is still awaited in this matter.
