Reports indicate that in the past 24 hours, Delhi-NCR recorded a minimum temperature of around 17–18°C, slightly below normal, while the maximum temperature remained steady between 30–32°C. In Punjab and Chandigarh, the weather will remain clear with light winds, but the night chill is expected to intensify. Similarly, in western and eastern Rajasthan — including cities like Jaipur and Jodhpur — temperatures may drop to between 20–25°C. The IMD has also forecast a temperature drop in western Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow, Kanpur) and eastern Uttar Pradesh (Varanasi, Prayagraj), though maximum temperatures will remain near normal.
Rain warning for Bihar and Madhya Pradesh
In Bihar, districts like Patna, Gaya, and Bhagalpur will experience dry weather, though light cold will prevail in the Gangetic plains. The minimum temperature in these areas may drop to 18–20°C, slightly below normal. In Madhya Pradesh — particularly in cities such as Bhopal, Indore, and Jabalpur — light rain and strong winds at speeds of 30–40 km/h are expected over the next five days.
Winds to blow at speeds up to 65 km/h
The IMD has issued a warning, urging people in areas with weak structures to remain cautious. Additionally, the department stated that strong winds are expected over the Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep, and Comorin regions, as well as along the coasts of Karnataka, Kerala, and adjoining Tamil Nadu. In the coming days, wind speeds may reach 45–65 km/h.
