Punjab’s 3-Year Education Revolution: Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy

Jalalabad, April 11 : Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government’s vision of a bright education model is visibly becoming a reality. In the past three years, the Punjab Government has brought about a tremendous revolution in the field of education, completely transforming the look and feel of government schools. Thanks to the visionary thinking of Education Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains, government schools have been equipped with modern facilities, leading to increased interest among parents to enroll their children in government schools instead of private ones.

These remarks were made by MLA of Jalalabad constituency, Mr. Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy, during the inauguration of development works worth over ₹52 lakhs at three schools in the constituency.

MLA Mr. Goldy informed the parents that the Punjab Government, by focusing on the education sector over the last three years, has brought about such remarkable changes that the modern facilities now available in government schools are often not even seen in private institutions. He mentioned that schools now have modern science labs, AC classrooms, quality tables and chairs, sports equipment, panel screens for studying, computer labs, and many other facilities that help create a conducive learning environment for students.

He also noted that at the start of each academic session, books and uniforms are delivered to schools in a timely manner, ensuring that students’ education is not disrupted.

While sharing details about various development works, Mr. Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy said that at the Government Primary School, Basti Ramgarhia, development works worth ₹25.69 lakhs were inaugurated, which included the construction of 2 classrooms for ₹17.06 lakhs, new and repaired boundary walls costing ₹2.60 lakhs, new and repaired toilets built for ₹2.53 lakhs, and other major repair works costing ₹3.5 lakhs.

At Government Primary School, Kalu Wala, one classroom was constructed for ₹7.51 lakhs, boundary walls (new and repaired) for ₹2.5 lakhs, additional repair grants worth ₹50,000, and development works worth over ₹3 lakhs were carried out through the Block Development and Panchayat Officer.

At Government Primary School, Ladhu Wala Hithar, one classroom was built for ₹7.51 lakhs, a boundary wall for ₹4.36 lakhs, and other repairs costing ₹1 lakh were completed.

On this occasion, Education Coordinator Devaraj Sharma, school heads, respected dignitaries, other officials, and school teachers were present.
