Amritsar, April 10, 2025 : Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has written a letter to Saad Ahmad Warraich, the Chief Commissioner of the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi, thanking him for generously issuing visas to Sikh pilgrims for visiting gurdwaras located in Pakistan.
In the letter, the SGPC President expressed happiness that, on the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Diwas (Vaisakhi), visas were issued for all the names listed in the group of 1,942 pilgrims submitted by the SGPC for visiting gurdwaras in Pakistan. This cooperation has provided Sikh devotees with the opportunity to visit their historic and sacred religious sites.
He stated that this decision not only respects the religious sentiments of the pilgrims but also plays a vital role in strengthening the cultural and communal ties between India and Pakistan. Appreciating the meaningful efforts of Chief Commissioner Saad Ahmad Warraich and his team, the SGPC President wrote that the support extended by them will always be remembered with respect.
He also sincerely thanked the Government of Pakistan for issuing visas to a large number of Sikh pilgrims and for making the necessary arrangements. The SGPC President expressed hope that such cooperation will continue in the future, enabling the Sikh community to remain connected with their heritage and continue visiting their holy gurdwaras.
