Jalandhar 12 May 2025 : Due to the tense atmosphere, new orders have been issued in the city. According to reports, strict action is being taken against those who are bursting fireworks in the city. Now, those who burst fireworks at night in the city should be cautious, as cases are being filed against them. The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police, under Division No. 8, has registered an FIR against unidentified individuals for bursting fireworks at night.
ASI Gurmel Singh, in this regard, stated that although the India-Pakistan war has ended, some mischievous elements have been bursting fireworks at night, creating an atmosphere of fear in the area and causing people to remain scared. As a result, the police have filed an FIR against the unidentified individuals and issued strict orders. Due to the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, there is a sense of fear and panic among the people. There have been missile and drone attacks from Pakistan in several areas, including Jalandhar and Kapurthala. Now, some mischief-makers are trying to disturb the atmosphere by bursting fireworks, as the fear and anxiety among the people still persists.
It is also worth mentioning that due to the situation of war, the Punjab government has issued orders for a blackout after 8 PM in Punjab. Several schools have canceled exams and declared holidays. Additionally, due to the India-Pakistan tension, there will be a blackout in the border areas of Punjab, including Firozpur, Gurdaspur, and Pathankot districts. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has made a major announcement stating that the blackout will continue in Punjab because India cannot yet trust Pakistan. Punjab has suffered from terrorism before, and no leniency will be tolerated now.
