Strict action will be taken by Nagar Corporation on illegal encroachments along the roads in the metropolis. These hints were given by Commissioner Aditya during a press conference called on Monday. He said that apart from street vendors standing on the side of the roads, the problem of traffic jams is coming due to the shopkeepers keeping goods several feet outside. According to the commissioner, the passers-by are facing problems due to this kind of encroachment and when action is taken by the municipal corporation, the encroachers will face problems. The Commissioner said that earlier the concession was given during the festival season and now during the winter the crowd increases in the interior areas of Ludhiana especially in the area adjacent to the wide bazaar. In view of which 15 days ultimatum has been given to the occupants. Even after this, a strong drive will be started by the Municipal Corporation to take action against the people who do not remove their possession.
Action on slums located in the focal point area
On Monday, the Tahbazari branch of Municipal Corporation Zone B took action to remove the slums located on the road leading from Rajiv Gandhi Colony to Dhandari flyover in the focal point area. Municipal Corporation employees said that a few days ago, ministers Tarunpreet Saundh, Hardeep Mundia, D.C. During the meeting with Jitendra Jorwal and Commissioner Aditya, the issue of occupation of slums by entrepreneurs was raised. According to this, due to these slums, an environment of dirt has been created and drug addicts and criminal elements congregate here. In view of this, the municipal corporation took action to demolish the slums with the help of the police force.
