Three Documentary Shows to Be Held Daily from 5 PM to 8 PM in the Remaining Villages from August 24: ADC Rimpy Garg

Malerkotla, August 21:

As part of the special documentary campaign being conducted by the Punjab Government to commemorate the 650th birth anniversary (Parkash Purb) of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, successful screenings of a documentary film based on the life, philosophy and sacred teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj have already been held in 47 villages of Malerkotla (H) Block.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Rimpy Garg said that out of the total 56 villages in the block, documentary shows have already been organized in 47 villages. The campaign will continue in the remaining villages as well. She said that three documentary shows will be held daily from 5 PM to 8 PM starting August 24.

She said that on August 24, the documentary film will be screened in Bukhanwal, Rurka and Hathan; on August 25, in Sheikhupur Kalan, Sheikhupur Khurd and Abdullapur; and on August 26, in Jatiwal, Bir Amamgarh and Hussainpura. She added that the documentary would soon also be screened in villages of Ahmedgarh and Amargarh blocks.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that through the documentary, an effort is being made to convey to the people the life and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, particularly his messages of humanity, equality, communal harmony and righteous living.

She appealed to residents of the villages to participate in these documentary screenings in large numbers and to bring their children and young people along so that they could draw inspiration from the life and great philosophy of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj.

She said that such initiatives not only connect the younger generation with the teachings of great saints but also help further strengthen mutual respect and communal harmony in society.
