Uttar Pradesh Minority Commission Member Parminder Singh Pays Obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib

Amritsar, August 7:

S. Parminder Singh, Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Sikh Gurdwara Coordinator Committee and a Member of the Uttar Pradesh Minority Commission, today paid obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib along with his family and offered prayers.

During his visit to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) office, he was honoured by SGPC members S. Gurmeet Singh Booh, Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhyasi, OSD S. Satbir Singh Dhami, Secretary S. Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, and S. Gurinder Singh Mathrewal. He was presented with a siropa (robe of honour) and a framed picture of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib as a mark of सम्मान.

On the occasion, SGPC Secretary S. Balwinder Singh Kahlwan said that Parminder Singh has consistently extended valuable support to the SGPC’s religious outreach activities in Uttar Pradesh, particularly during Nagar Kirtans. He noted that through close coordination with the Sikh community, Parminder Singh has played a leading role in making various Gurmat programmes successful. He expressed hope that this cooperation would continue in the future.

Thanking the SGPC for the honour, S. Parminder Singh said that while the apex Sikh institution is actively carrying out religious propagation across different states, it is also making dedicated efforts in Uttar Pradesh to strengthen the Sikh community’s connection with Sikh teachings.

He said that he felt blessed to visit Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib with his family and offered prayers for the well-being of all humanity (Sarbat da Bhala).

Parminder Singh was accompanied by his wife Bibi Inderpreet Kaur, his son S. Gagandeep Singh, and other family members.
