Sri Anandpur Sahib, April 8 : Jaspreet Singh, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Sri Anandpur Sahib, has directed officials from various departments to ensure smooth arrangements for the convenience of devotees visiting Sri Anandpur Sahib on the occasion of Vaisakhi, from April 11 to April 13.
The SDM stated that the festival of Vaisakhi, which marks the creation of the Khalsa, will be celebrated from April 11 to 13 at Sri Anandpur Sahib and Kiratpur Sahib. During this time, devotees visit these sacred places for religious pilgrimage. Therefore, keeping the comfort of the devotees in mind, all concerned departments have been instructed to make the necessary arrangements in a timely manner at both locations.
He directed the police department to make adequate security, traffic, and parking arrangements during this period at Sri Anandpur Sahib and Kiratpur Sahib. The Nagar Council was instructed to ensure proper cleanliness, regular water sprinkling, and that all street lights remain functional during the festival days.
He further instructed the Water Supply Department to maintain an uninterrupted supply of drinking water and ensure all toilet blocks are operational.
Officials from the PowerCom (electricity board) were asked to ensure 24-hour continuous power supply. The Electrical Wing of the Public Works Department (PWD) was also directed to keep all street lights operational at both Sri Anandpur Sahib and Kiratpur Sahib.
Additionally, the Senior Medical Officer of Sri Anandpur Sahib was directed to ensure all necessary facilities and staff are available at the hospital and to arrange for ambulance services. The Senior Medical Officers of the Primary Health Centers at Kiratpur Sahib and Nurpur Bedi were also instructed to complete all necessary health arrangements at their respective centers.
