Vigilance Bureau Conducts Surprise Dairy Inspection, Collects Samples

Fazilka 26 March 2025 : As per the directions issued by the Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, Shri Nageshwar Rao, and Senior Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Bureau, Ferozepur, Shri Manjit Singh, a team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Bureau Unit, Fazilka, Shri Gurinderjit Singh, conducted a surprise inspection with the assistance of the Food Safety Officer from the Civil Surgeon’s office, Fazilka, Shri Kanwardeep Singh. The inspection took place at Sheenu Dairy, Cantt Road, Fazilka, which processes 4,000 to 5,000 liters of milk daily, in the presence of its owner, Shri Sahil Aneja. Dr. Nikhil Kataria, Medical Officer, Civil Hospital, Fazilka, was also present during the inspection.

During the checking, the team of Food Safety Officer Shri Kanwardeep Singh collected samples of milk, paneer, butter, and ghee. He stated that the samples would be sent for testing to the Food and Drugs Laboratory in Kharar. If any adulteration or deficiency is found in the test reports, legal action will be taken accordingly.

Summary: The Vigilance Bureau, with the Food Safety Officer’s assistance, conducted surprise checks at dairies, collecting samples of milk, paneer, butter, and ghee.
