Will ₹200 Notes Be Discontinued? RBI Clarifies

What does the RBI say? The RBI says that after the ban on ₹2000 notes, the circulation of fake ₹200 and ₹500 notes has been increasing in the country. The Reserve Bank of India has warned people to be extra cautious while handling transactions. Is there a fake ₹200 note in your pocket?

How can you check if the ₹200 note in your pocket is fake or not? To know this, you need to recognize certain features. On the ₹200 note, on the left side, “200” is written in Devanagari script. In the middle, there is a very clear image of Mahatma Gandhi, and “RBI,” “India,” “India,” and “200” are written. On the right side, there is the Ashoka Pillar symbol.

To stop the circulation of fake notes, the Reserve Bank of India has appealed to the public to stay alert. The RBI has advised people to carefully examine the notes during transactions. The RBI has said that if anyone gets a fake note, they should immediately take it to the local authorities or the concerned bank officials.
