Congress leaders Bhullar and Raja Warring get death threats

Tarn Taran, November 6, 2025  : A case has come to light where senior Congress leader Rajbir Singh Bhullar and Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president and MP Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, along with their families, have received death threats. Following this threat, allegedly issued by gangster Rinda, the Tarn Taran City Police have registered a case against Rinda and two unidentified individuals and begun further investigation.

It is noteworthy that ahead of the upcoming by-election in the Tarn Taran Assembly constituency, the political atmosphere has heated up. Meanwhile, gangsters and miscreants have reportedly been calling voters to intimidate them, with political leaders also being targeted.

According to information, senior Congress leader Rajbir Singh Bhullar, a resident of Tarn Taran, submitted a written complaint to the district SSP stating that on October 31, he received a call on his mobile phone from a foreign number. The caller identified himself as gangster Rinda. Later the same day, he received another call with a voice message saying, “We have to kill Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president and sitting MP Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and his family, and we will also kill you and your family.”

Rajbir Singh Bhullar, who is also a potential Congress candidate from the Tarn Taran Assembly seat, was warned through this threatening call not to participate in the election campaign until November 11. In his complaint, Bhullar mentioned that he has received death threats several times in the past as well.

Meanwhile, citing a threat to his and his family’s lives, Bhullar has demanded police protection. Following his statement, the Tarn Taran City Police have registered a case against gangster Rinda and two unidentified persons and initiated further investigation.
