Faridkot, July 30:
Speaker of the Punjab Legislative Assembly, S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan, flagged off buses carrying devotees under the Punjab Government’s Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme from Valmiki Chowk on Jalaleana Road, Kotkapura, and Village Kothe Deep Singh.
On the occasion, Speaker Sandhwan said that the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme, launched by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, aims to enable devotees from all sections of society to visit prominent religious places across the country.
He said that under the scheme, pilgrims are provided with free transportation and other essential facilities, making it possible for ordinary families to undertake religious journeys without financial burden.
Extending his best wishes to the devotees, Speaker Sandhwan wished them a safe, comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling journey. He added that the Punjab Government respects the religious sentiments of the people and remains committed to the welfare of every section of society.
The devotees expressed their gratitude to the Punjab Government, saying that the Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme has proved to be highly beneficial, as it allows them to visit sacred religious sites without incurring any financial expense.
Among those present on the occasion were Dharampal, Satpal Gill, Dharma, Satish Kumar, Ajay Morya, Gobind, Ranjit, Pawan Kumar, Karanveer, Gora, Mahik, Chhotu Ram, Vijay Kumar, along with a large number of devotees.
