Kotkapura, July 30:
Speaker of the Punjab Legislative Assembly, S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan, today laid the foundation stone for the construction of a street adjacent to the Vishwakarma Dharamshala in Ward No. 12. Residents of the area expressed their happiness over the commencement of the development work.
Addressing the gathering, Speaker Sandhwan said that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is continuously working to strengthen basic infrastructure in both urban and rural areas. He said that the needs and demands of the people are being addressed on a priority basis and that development works are being carried out in every ward without discrimination.
Speaker Sandhwan said that the construction of the street would improve connectivity and ease of movement for local residents while resolving a long-pending issue faced by the area. He also directed the concerned officials to ensure that the project is completed within the stipulated timeframe and to the highest quality standards so that residents can benefit from it at the earliest.
A large number of local residents, community leaders, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
