Tarn Taran, August 13: District Magistrate, Tarn Taran, Shri Rahul, exercising the powers vested in him under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, has declared the Police Lines Ground, Tarn Taran, and the area within a 5-kilometre radius as a ‘No Drone Zone’ from August 13, 2026, to August 15, 2026, or until the conclusion of the district-level event.
Drones operated by security forces and the Police Department will be exempt from this order. If the media intends to use drones during the event, prior permission from the Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran, will be mandatory.
According to the order issued by the District Magistrate, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran, had informed through a letter that the district-level Independence Day function on August 15, 2026, is being organised at the Police Lines Ground, Tarn Taran. VVIPs and dignitaries, along with a large number of students and members of the general public, are expected to attend the event.
In view of public safety and to maintain law and order during the event, the Senior Superintendent of Police had requested that the Police Lines Ground, Tarn Taran, and the surrounding area within a 5-kilometre radius be declared a ‘No Drone Zone’ from August 13 to August 15, 2026.
