22 September 2026 (Navroze Bureau) : Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan visited Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja pandal with wife Gauri Khan and daughter Suhana Khan to seek Lord Ganesha’s blessings during the ongoing Ganeshotsav celebrations.
The family attended the evening aarti, with videos from their visit quickly gaining attention online. The actor arrived amid tight security as a large crowd gathered outside the popular pandal.
SRK Joins Family for Ganpati Darshan
Shah Rukh Khan was seen bowing before the idol and offering prayers. Gauri and Suhana accompanied him during the darshan, while his longtime manager Pooja Dadlani was also present.
The actor stayed back for the evening aarti instead of making a quick appearance, allowing the family to participate in the religious ceremony together.

For the visit, Shah Rukh wore a blue traditional kurta, while Gauri Khan opted for a yellow ethnic outfit. Suhana was dressed in a green traditional ensemble.

The Lalbaugcha Raja visit came days after Shah Rukh spoke about how his family celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi.
During an #AskSRK interaction on X, he said that Gauri performs the aarti and prayers, while the children and friends gather together. He described the celebrations as simple family time.
Lalbaugcha Raja Draws Thousands of Devotees
Lalbaugcha Raja is among Mumbai’s most prominent public Ganesh idols and attracts thousands of devotees during the festival.
The official Lalbaugcha Raja Mandal said the 2026 Ganeshotsav is being celebrated from September 14 to September 25, with both Mukh Darshan and Charan Sparsh Darshan available to devotees.
SRK’s Annual Connection With Ganeshotsav
Shah Rukh has previously participated in Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Mumbai. His latest appearance continues his association with the city’s public festive celebrations.
In 2023, he had also visited Lalbaugcha Raja with his younger son AbRam Khan.
Suhana and Shah Rukh to Share Screen in ‘King’
On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan are set to appear together in King, directed by Siddharth Anand.
The film marks their first theatrical collaboration and is scheduled for release on December 24, 2026. The cast also includes Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat and others.
