Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, December 31, 2024: To address the challenges faced by the general public in government offices for daily work, the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has initiated the “AAP Sarkar Aap De Dwar” campaign. Under this initiative, a series of facilitation camps are being organized at the sub-division level in various villages and towns. For the new year, camps will be held in Kharar Sub-Division on January 7 at the Community Center in Gharuan, January 17 in Tiur, and January 28 in Jayanti Devi. These camps will provide on-the-spot services by the relevant departments, and the timing for these camps will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Sharing this information, camp nodal officer and Kharar SDM Gurmander Singh said that the camp on January 7, 2025, at the Community Center in Gharuan will cater to residents of all wards under Nagar Panchayat Gharuan. Similarly, the camp on January 17 in Tiur will serve residents of Tiur, Nanu Majra, Abheypur, Jakkar Majra, Rurki Kham, and Chandogobindgarh villages. On January 28, the camp at Jayanti Devi will serve residents of villages including Gurdhan, Kasouli, Parch, Karondean Wala, Bagindi, and Jayanti Devi.
These camps will offer a range of services, including issuance of birth certificates, income certificates, residence certificates, scheduled caste and backward class certificates, pensions for senior citizens, disabled individuals, and dependents, correction of names in birth certificates, payment of electricity bills, verification of land records, marriage registration, copies of death certificates, rural area certificates, preparation of Fard (land records), applications for the Shagun scheme, land demarcation, countersigning of NRI certificates, police clearance certificates, and corrections in death certificates.
SDM Gurmander Singh also urged people to take full advantage of these camps to resolve their issues related to government offices. He mentioned that 43 services from various departments can also be accessed by contacting the helpline at 1076.
