In a recent appearance on filmmaker Karan Johar’s popular talk show Koffee With Karan Season 9, the couple shared emotional details about the attack, the family’s reaction and the difficult months that followed.
During the conversation, Kareena revealed that she ran onto the road in her nightwear, desperately trying to find an autorickshaw to take Saif to the hospital. Recalling the terrifying moment, she said she was screaming at passing vehicles, asking them to stop. She described the entire experience as something straight out of a movie scene.

She recalled saying, “I was screaming on the road. I was like, ‘Stop, stop.’ It was like a movie scene.”
The actress further explained that she was running around in panic, trying to get a vehicle while Saif was holding his injuries. She also mentioned that she was fortunate nobody recorded that moment on camera.
Saif also recalled the situation with his characteristic sense of humour, joking about Kareena’s nightwear and how the incident could have become an unusual video had someone filmed it.

Taimur Asked Whether His Father Would Die
One of the most emotional moments of Kareena’s recollection involved their elder son, Taimur Ali Khan, who witnessed his father’s condition during the emergency.
Kareena revealed that when she saw Saif inside the lift after the attack, she became extremely frightened. Looking at her injured husband, she asked him not to do anything that could put his life at risk.
But what affected her even more was Taimur’s reaction. Seeing his father covered in blood and seriously injured, the young boy asked a heartbreaking question: “Abba, are you going to die?”
