Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann assured full support from the Punjab government while giving his approval to all the issues

Gurdaspur, January 7: – Chairman of District Planning Committee Gurdaspur and State General Secretary of Aam Aadmi Party Advocate Jagroop Singh Sekhwan held a special meeting with Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann in Chandigarh today and discussed various development projects of Qadian Assembly constituency and Gurdaspur district. On this occasion, Sekhwan also wished Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann a happy new year.

Sharing the details of the meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Chairman Jagroop Singh Sekhwan said that he congratulated Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on the New Year and discussed in detail the various development projects underway in the entire district of Gurdaspur including the Qadian assembly constituency. Mr. Sekhwan said that he demanded from the Chief Minister that instructions be issued to the officials for the early completion of the ongoing sewage projects in Dhariwal and Qadian city. Apart from this, a demand was also made for the repair of the connecting roads in the entire district including the Qadian assembly constituency, and for the issuance of grants to the newly elected panchayats. He requested Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to contact the Union Transport Ministry to start the project of four-laning the Gurdaspur-Mukerian road at the earliest so that this decades-old demand of the people could be fulfilled.

Chairman Jagroop Singh Sekhwan said that during the meeting, a request was also made to expedite the establishment of Sainik School in village Dalla Goria of district Gurdaspur. Along with this, a demand has been made to establish a skill center in ITI of village Nannekot so that the local youth can be skilled and maximum employment opportunities can be provided to them.

Chairman Jagroop Singh Sekhwan said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann listened to all their demands very carefully and assured that all these issues related to the people will be completed on priority by the Punjab government and work will be done on them expeditiously this year. The Chief Minister said that the border district of Gurdaspur will not be left behind in terms of development.
