Fatehgarh Sahib, September 29:
Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, Ms. Anindita Mitra today conducted a detailed inspection of the warehouse located at the District Administrative Complex here in the presence of representatives of various political parties. District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sona Thind was also present on the occasion.
Chief Electoral Officer Ms. Anindita Mitra inspected the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), VVPAT machines, EVM stock register, security room, CCTV cameras, fire safety system, cleanliness and other arrangements inside the warehouse. The warehouse was opened in the presence of representatives of political parties. After the inspection, the Chief Electoral Officer had the warehouse locked and sealed in the presence of the political party representatives. She expressed satisfaction over the cleanliness of the warehouse and the maintenance of election-related machinery and other equipment stored there.
Thereafter, Chief Electoral Officer Punjab Ms. Anindita Mitra checked Forms 06 and 08 submitted by various Booth Level Officers (BLOs) during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). She appreciated the work carried out by all BLOs in Fatehgarh Sahib district during the SIR and directed them to continue carrying out the electoral process in an efficient and systematic manner in the future.
