Emraan Hashmi to Make Stage Comeback After 19 Years, Reportedly Commands ₹2 Crore Fee

28  Aug 2026 (Navroze Bureau) :  Emraan Hashmi is set to return to live performances after a 19-year break, with the actor reportedly commanding a fee of around ₹2 crore for two upcoming Bollywood-themed stage events following the success of Awarapan 2.

Two Events Mark Emraan’s Return

Hashmi’s stage comeback will begin with The Emraan Era at Sunburn Union in Bengaluru on August 29. He will then perform at Quake Arena in Hyderabad on September 5, where he is scheduled to share the stage with DJ Ganesh.

Actor to Revisit Popular Hits

The performances are expected to feature some of Hashmi’s most popular songs from his Bollywood career.

The actor is reportedly set to revisit tracks associated with films such as Murder, Aashiq Banaya Aapne and Jannat, giving fans an opportunity to experience his popular musical era in a live setting.

Awarapan 2 Success Boosts Comeback

The return to the stage comes after the strong theatrical performance of Awarapan 2.

The sequel to Hashmi’s 2007 film opened with around ₹22 crore net in India and went on to cross the ₹100-crore mark domestically within its first week, according to reported box-office figures.

A 19-Year Gap

Hashmi’s return to live performances is notable because he has largely focused on his film career in the years since his previous stage appearances.

His upcoming concerts are therefore being seen as a return to an aspect of his entertainment career that fans have not witnessed regularly for nearly two decades.

Nostalgia at the Centre

The performances are expected to draw heavily on nostalgia surrounding Hashmi’s music-driven filmography.

Songs from his earlier movies became closely associated with his image as Bollywood’s “serial kisser” and helped establish him as a major youth icon during the 2000s.

From Box Office to Live Stage

The stage comeback comes at an interesting point in Hashmi’s career.

Following the success of Awarapan 2, the actor has regained significant attention from audiences, while his older songs continue to have strong recall among Bollywood fans.

Reported ₹2 Crore Fee

According to the report, Hashmi is commanding approximately ₹2 crore for the two stage appearances.

If confirmed, the fee reflects the renewed commercial interest surrounding the actor following the theatrical success of Awarapan 2.

A New Chapter for Hashmi

The live shows could mark the beginning of a new phase in Hashmi’s career, combining his film legacy with live entertainment.

For fans, the biggest attraction will be seeing the actor perform some of the songs that defined his most popular years on the big screen.
