Fatehgarh Sahib, September 2:
Under the ‘Mission Clean Punjab’ campaign, MLA from the Amloh Assembly constituency, Gurinder Singh Gary Baring, reviewed the cleanliness activities on the fifth day of the campaign in Ward No. 12 of Amloh and Ward No. 28 of Mandi Gobindgarh. He also personally led the cleanliness drive and motivated residents to keep their surroundings clean.
On this occasion, President of Municipal Council Mandi Gobindgarh Harpreet Singh Prince, Vice President Vineet Kumar Bittu, Ajit Singh Bunty, Munish Gupta, Vinod Gujjar, MC Harchand Singh, MC Sukhdeep Mander, MC Balkar Singh, MC Jagtar Singh, MC Jaanvi Sharma, Darshan Singh Cheema, Moni Pandit, along with other officials and leaders, were present.
While reviewing the cleanliness work, MLA Gurinder Singh Gary Baring said that the objective of the campaign is not merely to remove garbage from roads and public places, but also to ensure better and sustainable cleanliness arrangements in the city on a permanent basis. He said that accumulated garbage heaps in different parts of the city are being removed on a priority basis so that the general public does not face any inconvenience.
MLA Gary Baring appealed to the residents to understand that, along with government departments, every citizen has an equally important role in keeping the city clean. He urged people to dispose of household and commercial waste only at designated places instead of throwing it indiscriminately and to extend full cooperation to sanitation workers.
Meanwhile, the Municipal Council Sirhind-Fatehgarh Sahib also continued the cleanliness campaign for the fifth consecutive day at Brahman Majra, Chawla Chowk and the Railway Flyover. A cleanliness drive was also carried out at Tehsil Road in Bassi Pathana on the fifth day of the campaign.
