Batala, September 29:
The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, District Gurdaspur, is organizing a district-level farmers’ training camp and agricultural exhibitions on Rabi crops at ITI Batala.
Dr. Shahbaz Singh Cheema, Chief Agriculture Officer, Gurdaspur, said that Punjab Working President and Batala MLA Amansher Singh Sherry Kalsi will attend the fair as the Chief Guest. Dera Baba Nanak MLA Gurdeep Singh Randhawa and Sri Hargobindpur Sahib MLA Advocate Amarpal Singh will attend as Special Guests.
He said that the fair will be inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman ATMA Aditya Uppal, while Dr. Gurjit Singh Brar, Director, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Punjab, will preside over the event.
He further said that former Sri Hargobindpur Sahib MLA and senior leader Balwinder Singh Ladi, Gurdaspur constituency in-charge Raman Behal, Fatehgarh Churian constituency in-charge Harjobanjit Singh Randhawa, Dinanagar constituency in-charge Shamsher Singh, and Qadian constituency in-charge Guriqbal Singh Mahal will also attend the event.
He said that registration for the fair will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on October 1, followed by the inauguration at 11:00 a.m. The technical session will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., while Guru Ka Langar will also be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
He appealed to all farmers of the district to attend the camp and benefit from the guidance and views of agricultural experts.
