Fazilka, July 27:
Under the directions of the Election Commission of India and the leadership of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Fazilka, Mrs. Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu, a voter awareness campaign is being conducted in Assembly Constituency 80 – Fazilka as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 drive. The campaign is being carried out under the guidance of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Jugraj Singh Kahlo.
As part of the initiative, Satinder Batra, Nodal Officer of the Fazilka-80 SVEEP Team, along with his team, visited Government Model Senior Secondary School, Kaurianwali to encourage students and staff to spread awareness about filling the SIR Enumeration Form. The team answered participants’ queries and provided detailed information about the SIR-2026 revision process.
Nodal Officer Satinder Batra informed that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have already distributed voter verification forms by visiting households across the constituency. He appealed to all eligible voters to fill in the forms with accurate information and submit them to their respective BLOs before August 3, so that a clean, accurate, and updated electoral roll can be prepared.
He also briefed the participants about the complete schedule and programme of the voter awareness campaign.
