Commercial LPG Prices Reduced Again: Fifth Consecutive Monthly Cut Starting August 1

1 Aug 2025 : Oil marketing companies have cut the prices of commercial LPG cylinders for the fifth month in a row. The price of a 19-kg cylinder in Delhi is now ₹1631.50, down from ₹1665 — a reduction of ₹33.50. These new rates have come into effect from today (August 1).

Commercial cylinders are mostly used in restaurants, sweet shops, and the food business. The price reduction could impact the cost of food items, potentially providing relief to the general public.

New prices in other cities (19-kg cylinder):

  • Kolkata – ₹1631.50
  • Mumbai – ₹1582.50
  • Chennai – ₹1789

In March 2025, the price of this cylinder in Delhi was ₹1803, which has now decreased to ₹1631.50 — a total reduction of ₹171.50 over the past five months.

No change in domestic LPG cylinder prices
There has been no change in the prices of 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders. Current prices in major metros are as follows:

  • Delhi – ₹853
  • Kolkata – ₹879
  • Mumbai – ₹852.50
  • Chennai – ₹868.50

The last change in domestic cylinder prices was made on April 8, 2025. Under the Ujjwala scheme, beneficiaries continue to receive a subsidy of ₹300 per cylinder from the government.

Summary:
Commercial 19 kg LPG cylinder prices have been cut by ₹33.50 (₹33–34.50 across cities), effective August 1, 2025. Domestic 14.2 kg cylinder prices remain unchanged.
