Batala, October 30, 2025 : Punjab’s Working President and MLA Sherry Kalsi said that keeping the needs of rural residents in mind, special construction projects for link roads have been initiated. The contractors building these roads have been made responsible for their maintenance for the next five years.
After laying the foundation stone for the link road from Kahnuwan Road-Batala to village Behluwal, MLA Sherry Kalsi interacted with the villagers and said that no stone will be left unturned in ensuring the all-round development of the village. He added that the problems of the residents are being resolved on a priority basis. On this occasion, Executive Engineer Baldev Singh, Sarpanch Joga Singh, and a large number of villagers were present.
MLA Sherry Kalsi further mentioned that ponds are being renovated to solve the problem of wastewater drainage in villages. Sports stadiums are being constructed, beautiful parks are being developed, and streetlights and CCTV cameras are being installed. He assured that people’s issues are being addressed on a priority basis.
He also stated that the Punjab Government is making sincere efforts to turn the state into a “Rangla Punjab” (Vibrant Punjab) and that all-round development work is being carried out in every sector to achieve this goal. He added that during its tenure so far, the state government has completed record development projects and taken major decisions in the public interest.
