November 26, 2025 : The Punjab Government has announced big news for farmers. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, during the inauguration of the Paniyar Mill project, said that the price of sugarcane is being increased from ₹401 per quintal to ₹416 per quintal.
The Chief Minister stated that this new price will provide major financial relief to the farmers of Punjab. He said that Punjab will now offer the highest sugarcane price in the entire country, and compared to Haryana, this will prove even more beneficial for Punjab’s farmers.
Bhagwant Singh Mann also said that this decision has been taken in the interest of farmers and will strengthen the agricultural economy. In addition, the government is planning to provide more facilities and support to the farmers.
