To commemorate the 650th Birth Anniversary of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj with reverence and respect, and to spread his philosophy, teachings, and message of humanity to every village in Gurdaspur district, a special documentary is being screened across the region. As part of this initiative, the documentary was screened in the villages of Kaler Kalan and Kaler Khurd in the Batala Assembly constituency.
Under this documentary campaign, a specially designed promotional van is touring villages to screen a film highlighting the life, teachings, and enduring message of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji.
The documentary van is conducting two screenings every day, at 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM, in two different villages. Screenings are being held in villages across the Batala, Gurdaspur, Dinanagar, and Dera Baba Nanak Assembly constituencies.
The Punjab Government’s objective is to take the teachings of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj to every household and further strengthen the values of equality, harmony, and social unity in society. The documentary is expected to inspire young people by connecting them with the Guru’s ideals, encouraging them to draw inspiration from his life, and helping them better understand their responsibilities towards society.
Villagers appreciated the Punjab Government’s initiative, stating that the teachings of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji continue to guide society on the path of truth, equality, mutual respect, and human unity. They particularly praised the unique effort to introduce the younger generation to the Guru’s timeless message and values.
