Sri Hargobindpur Sahib/Batala, July 28 – Dr. Arshdeep Singh, District In-charge of the Nasha Mukti Morcha, Gurdaspur, held a meeting with the de-addiction team of the Sri Hargobindpur Sahib constituency and officials of the police administration.
During the meeting, he interacted with the DSP, all SHOs, and police post in-charges to further intensify the ‘War Against Drugs’ campaign. He said that this social menace can be eradicated only through collective efforts and active public participation.
Dr. Arshdeep Singh said that the Punjab Government is actively implementing the ‘War Against Drugs’ campaign to free the state from the grip of drug abuse. He expressed satisfaction that, with the support of the people, many villages are becoming drug-free and said the government’s goal is to make the entire state of Punjab drug-free in the coming days.
He added that the Punjab Government is taking strict action against drug traffickers and emphasized that, with the cooperation of the public, Punjab will once again become a vibrant and prosperous state.
He further said that teams of the Nasha Mukti Morcha are visiting villages to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drugs. According to him, the campaign has received an encouraging response from the public, with people appreciating the government’s strong action against drug abuse.
Dr. Arshdeep Singh also stated that the present Punjab Government has consistently prioritized public welfare and has ensured that government services and benefits reach people at the grassroots level.
