Batala, July 29: Under the leadership of Punjab Working President and young Batala MLA AmanSher Singh “Sherry” Kalsi, the city of Batala is undergoing a major transformation through extensive development works, while long-pending public issues are also being addressed.
Sharing this information, Manjeet Singh Bumrah said that development work is currently in progress in Des Raj Wali Gali in Ward No. 4, fulfilling a long-standing demand of local residents.
He further stated that, under the leadership of MLA Sherry Kalsi, development projects are being carried out across Batala alongside efforts to resolve people’s grievances. Over the past four years, numerous development initiatives have been completed, and work continues at a steady pace.
He added that, to ease traffic congestion in the city, roads have been widened and electricity poles have been shifted away from the roadside. Traffic lights have also been installed. Beautiful parks have been developed, major intersections have been widened, and CCTV cameras are being installed across the city to enhance public safety.
He further said that Mohalla Clinics are providing free medical treatment to residents. A new Tehsil Complex has been constructed to provide multiple government services under one roof. The city’s library building has been renovated, and the decades-old Batala Club has been refurbished with a modern and attractive appearance.
