Chairman Joban Randhawa Holds Meeting with Officials on Development Works in Fatehgarh Churian Constituency

Ghasitpur/Batala, August 3:

Chairman and Fatehgarh Churian Assembly Constituency In-charge, Joban Randhawa, held a meeting with officials to review various development projects being undertaken in the constituency.

The meeting was attended by Gursimran Singh Dhillon, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Sukhjinder Singh Tiwana, SDM Fatehgarh Churian, Harbans Singh, DSP, Harpreet Singh, DDPO, Mrs. Harjit Kaur, CDPO, Mrs. Paramjit Kaur, BDPO, Kuljit Singh, District Mandi Officer, along with officials from various government departments.

During the meeting held at Ghasitpur, Chairman Joban Randhawa and the Additional Deputy Commissioner conducted a detailed review of ongoing development works in Fatehgarh Churian town and surrounding villages. The review covered the construction and repair of link roads, works under MGNREGA, sanitation and water supply projects, canal-related works, and other developmental initiatives. Officials were directed to ensure that all projects are completed within the stipulated timelines.

Chairman Randhawa said the primary objective of the meeting was to improve coordination among various departments and accelerate both ongoing and upcoming development works. He instructed officials to keep village sarpanches, panches, and municipal councillors informed about the government’s welfare schemes so that more development projects benefiting both rural and urban areas can be implemented effectively.

He further stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government remains committed to accelerating development across the state. He emphasized that officials must ensure no project is delayed beyond its scheduled completion date.

During the meeting, he also directed officials to expedite efforts to resolve the garbage disposal and sewerage issues in Fatehgarh Churian town and to speed up the construction of the proposed bus stand in the town.

Chairman Randhawa instructed the Labour Department to expedite the issuance of labour cards and ensure that workers receive the benefits of various government welfare schemes. He also emphasized the need to extend the benefits of the Ashirwad Scheme and Scholarship Scheme to all eligible beneficiaries without delay.

He concluded by stating that any negligence in development works will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
