Directions Issued to Immediately Send Proposals to Headquarters Regarding Required Facilities in Schools

Malerkotla, August 25:

In-charge Secretary-cum-Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries, Rahul Bhandari, IAS, today reviewed the educational and administrative activities, infrastructure, and facilities being provided to students at PM SHRI Schools in Malerkotla district.

In this regard, he held a special meeting with the heads of PM SHRI Schools and education officials at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. Deputy Commissioner Viraj S. Tidke, Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajdeep Singh Brar, District Education Officer (Secondary) Tarwinder Kaur, and other concerned officials were present at the meeting.

Rahul Bhandari obtained information from school heads regarding various educational and support facilities available to students. The progress of career guidance, mid-day meals, libraries, science and computer laboratories, skill development labs, infrastructure, and other educational activities was reviewed. He also sought detailed information about the educational environment and facilities being provided to students in the schools.

The In-charge Secretary directed education officials to prepare proposals, along with facts and necessary details, regarding any facilities, equipment, or infrastructure required in PM SHRI Schools and send them immediately to the headquarters. He said that the requirements of schools should be fulfilled on a priority basis to provide students with modern, quality and skill-oriented education.

He said that the objective of PM SHRI Schools is not only to provide students with a better educational environment but also to develop scientific thinking, creativity, skills, self-confidence, and problem-solving abilities among them. He directed school heads to further promote student-centric activities and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach students effectively.

Deputy Commissioner Viraj S. Tidke said that the district administration would extend full support to further improve the standard of education in government schools and provide students with the required facilities. He directed the concerned officials to continuously review the requirements of PM SHRI Schools and ensure timely action.
