Punjab Schools Get a Makeover, Says MLA Narinder Pal Singh Sawna

Fazilka, April 8 :  Fazilka MLA Shri Narinder Pal Singh Sawna, while interacting with teachers, students, and parents under the ‘Punjab Education Revolution’ initiative at village Kabool Shah Khuban, said that education is a priority sector for the state government, and due to this commitment, the face of schools in Punjab is changing.

He inaugurated development works worth ₹90 lakhs in two schools of the village, which will provide better facilities to the students.

While inaugurating various works at Government Senior Secondary School Kabool Shah Khuban and Government Primary School Khuban, MLA Narinder Pal Singh Sawna said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, major strides have been made in the field of education in Punjab. These include strengthening foundational skills among students, updating teaching methods as per modern needs, organizing mega parent-teacher meetings, and sending principals, headmasters, and teachers of the education department abroad for training.

He mentioned that to provide quality education, Schools of Eminence and Schools of Brilliance have been established, 425 primary schools have been converted into Schools of Happiness, and modern infrastructure in schools is offering advanced educational facilities to students.

During the event, he informed that in the Government Primary School, a new room, bathroom, tiling, and other development works have been carried out at a cost of ₹18.67 lakhs. Similarly, in the Senior Secondary School, six rooms, a computer lab, a boundary wall, and other development works have been completed with ₹71.24 lakhs.

Addressing the villagers, the MLA also announced that to ensure proper water supply to the village fields, the government has constructed the Kabool Shah Minor Canal at a cost of ₹42 crores.

Earlier, Education Coordinator Surinder Kamboj, Deputy DEO Parvinder Singh, and School Principal Dr. Navjeet Kaur also addressed the gathering. On this occasion, Market Committee Chairman Paramjit Singh Noorshah and Education Department DNO Vijay Pal were also present.

Summary: MLA Narinder Pal Singh Sawna stated that the Punjab government has transformed the look and infrastructure of schools, enhancing educational environments for students.
