Under the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shri Varun Sharma, SP Shri Navreet Singh Virk, SP (Headquarters) cum D.C.P.O., S.A.S. Nagar, and SP Traffic Shri Ramandeep Singh, an awareness seminar was organized under the leadership of DSP Shri Karnail Singh.
The seminar was conducted by the Traffic Education Cell and Sanjh Kendra In-charge City-1, ASI Janak Raj, ASI Ranvir Singh, and Senior Constable Gurnek Singh, City-2. The programme was held at Government High School, Landran, for teachers and students, as well as for members of the general public who had come to the MVI office in Mohali to get their vehicles passed.
The participants were educated about traffic rules, the harmful effects of drugs, Yuva Sanjh, and the various facilities provided by Sanjh Kendras.
During the seminar, students were advised not to drive vehicles while underage or without a valid driving licence. Both boys and girls were made aware of the importance of wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers and were advised not to use mobile phones while driving.
In addition, students were informed that they can call 112 for police assistance and 1930 for matters related to cybercrime.
Students were encouraged to stay away from drugs, follow traffic rules, understand their responsibilities towards society, and become responsible citizens.
